Lender disclosure: You are never required to use any lender listed on this page and are free to choose any lender you wish. Next Key Home Team and Samson Properties do not receive any fee, kickback, or thing of value from these lenders for referrals, and lenders cannot pay to be listed. We recommend comparing Loan Estimates from more than one lender. Loan programs, rates, and approval are determined solely by the lender. Verify any loan officer's license at NMLS Consumer Access.

Lender FAQ

Common Financing Questions

Do I have to use one of these lenders?

No. You're free to work with any lender you choose. These are loan officers we've had good experiences with, and we encourage you to compare Loan Estimates from more than one lender.

Does Next Key Home Team get paid for referring me to a lender?

No. We don't receive any fee, kickback, or anything of value from lenders for referrals, and lenders can't pay to be listed. Federal law (RESPA) prohibits those payments, and our recommendations are based only on service quality.

What's the difference between pre-qualification and pre-approval?

A pre-qualification is a quick estimate based on information you provide. A pre-approval means the lender has reviewed documents such as income, assets, and credit. Sellers in Maryland and DC generally expect a pre-approval letter with an offer.

What documents should I have ready?

Lenders typically ask for recent pay stubs, W-2s or tax returns, bank statements, and a photo ID. Self-employed buyers may need additional documents. Your loan officer will give you an exact list.

Can a lender help with VA, FHA, or first-time buyer programs?

Many lenders offer VA, FHA, conventional, and down payment assistance programs, but offerings vary. Ask each loan officer which programs they offer and which may fit your situation.

I'm a loan officer. How do I join the network?
